“It is my belief that we all have the ability to harness the power within us to find our own way to true healing and transformation.”
I am a licensed therapist who combines traditional clinical skills with a holistic, mindful and spiritual approach to healing and transformation rooted in self-compassion. I blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), Mindfulness, and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to help clients reach their goals and harness their own inner power of resilience. Life is full of challenges and my true passion is working with clients to find the personal sense of empowerment that naturally resides in each and every one of us.
I treat clients struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, unresolved trauma and grief, and assist with finding one’s own way through a challenging period of growth and change. I believe that true learning and growth are born from the journey rather than focusing on the destination and I am honored to guide my clients on their own individual journeys.
I received my Masters in Social Work at Salem State University and have worked in counseling centers, psychiatric hospitals, and home care. I have a diverse set of skills and experiences and works with older children/adolescents, adults and couples.
“When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
- Edward Teller

“The natural healing force in each one of us is the greatest force in getting well." Hippocrates
As a certified clinical herbalist, I help people find natural solutions to their chronic health problems with a specialization in mood, energy, stress and healthy sleep. My approach to health is simple and holistic. Using traditional herbal knowledge and the latest scientific research, I combine herbs with lifestyle and dietary changes to help bring the body back into balance.
The work clients and I do together helps them live a life of less stress, more energy, mental clarity, and deep joy. My approach is highly personalized, and goes beyond the “this for that” approach so common in our culture today. Consultations allow plenty of time to fully cover past and current health history and concerns. Clients receive a custom herbal blend that supports the individual person, not just a particular ailment. This is the true “art of herbalism”.
Before delving into the healing power of plants, I spent 20 years in corporate marketing. I am a certified clinical herbalist and a member of the American Herbalist Guild, American Botanical Council, and Plant Savers United. As an Andover resident, I enjoy working with our community and giving talks around town on herbal wellness.
“We must all endure the burdens of daily life. When clients receive a session from me, I want them to feel they have entered a sanctuary where the focus is totally on them. I believe we are all beautiful, inside and out."
I am passionate about helping my clients put aside their stresses and worries to focus on themselves for a while. This is a luxury we do not often allow ourselves, and it is so important for our self-care. My personality is warm and friendly, exuding positive energy towards my clients, helping them feel relaxed and rejuvenated in mind, body, and soul.
My work at A Centered Self focuses on healing through skin therapy and the use of aromatic and essential oils applied with a gentle, healing touch. Each treatment is adapted to the client's specific needs. Clients seek treatment with me for a variety of reasons, including relaxation, stress reduction, body aches, self-image, immunity, and sleep. My work as an Esthetician has included make-up application, skin care and essential oil healing touch application. During client sessions, I teach then about their skin care and make up needs as well as how to use essential oils. I love when clients tell me I have "healing hands”, as this assures me they have felt comforted, relaxed, and rejuvenated from their essential oil healing treatment.
I have been practicing in my field for over 10 years, working in various salon settings with teens, adults, and seniors. I decided to change careers later in life to focus on a profession that would allow me to help people feel beautiful both inside and out. I became certified in both Reiki I Aromatouch to add their energy healing into my treatments. It gives me great joy to put people at ease and allow them to focus on themselves for awhile. I love witnessing my client's worries melt away during their treatment.
